Cameron and I have been in VA since last Saturday (12/8). We've been having a good time, but miss Chad. Good thing he comes tomorrow!!!
Katie took a bunch of pictures. Check out the link to her blog on the sidebar to see them!

Some of the same, but different...
As I mentioned before, Cameron LOVES to look out the window. And snow is fascinating to him. I was gone for a few hours this morning and had to drive in a lot of snow. I was praying the whole time cause even though this is our third year here, I still hate driving in the snow. Just as I expected, I couldn't make it up our driveway and ended up getting stuck in our street. Chad and Cameron were watching from the window...I felt like they were pointing and laughing at me. Eventually Chad came out and got the car up the driveway. Guess it's the bus driving skills put to good use!
There's so much snow that they canceled Stake Conference for the second time this year (the other time was in February, I think...or maybe it was April). Anyway, I'm looking forward to a cozy/lazy weekend at home.

Ok Ok....We're still alive...
Cameron LOVES looking outside (going outside, too, but it's been pretty cold lately...see picture below).

Cameron's first tooth is coming in! I actually discovered it in Sacrament meeting yesterday. I tried to take a picture, but he kept putting his tongue over it so you can't see it at all. And poor kid, he's breaking out!

This is what I meant by it getting colder. We had our first snow last week.

Cameron is just like his dad....obsessed with the computer (and I love this face he makes. Chad calls it the Grandma Myrtle cause she doesn't have teeth anymore. Don't tell her!)

With the first snow on the ground, Chad was excited to play in the Turkey Bowl last week. The previous week, he hurt his ankle playing basketball.
So to make things more stable, he decided to wrap his ankle before going out to play. But he didn't want to buy a bandage. No, that would cost too much. So here is what he did instead...

Yes, that's duct tape. My ghetto-fabulous husband.

Cameron is working on picking up little things like puffs. He manages to get it in his hand, but then doesn't know how to get it to his mouth. He usually ends up sticking his thumb in his mouth instead of the puff!

Some new pics...
A few pictures from this past week...
Cameron is a big boy now...well, at least with help from the Bumbo! He's still working on sitting up by himself (without face planting into the carpet!).
The reason Cameron looks so scared here is because he was asleep in his car seat (with the nice, cozy cover over it). I went to take a picture of his new onesie Katie sent cause it would be perfect for me to capture him asleep in it. Well, he woke up right as I was taking the picture. So, he was a little startled.

Chad was giving Cameron a bath the other night and called me in to help him dry Cameron off. I wasn't sure why he needed help, but he really wanted me to come in and see this...

He loves splashing in the tub. And yes, I know he's almost outgrowing this. But since he's still working on sitting up on his own, the big boy bathtub will probably have to wait a few more weeks!

Happy Half-Bday, Cameron!
Cameron is 6-months-old!! I can't believe how quickly these last 6 months have gone by! Cameron was born on the same day as Soren Allen, a baby in our ward. I was two doors down from Julie in the hospital. We had a mini bday celebration last night at her house.
Happy Half-Bday, boys!
**I played with the color a little on these. Sorry if you don't like it. I was getting tired of the same old thing.

Cameron was obviously worried about something he saw on the news this morning. Check out those cheeks!

I am INCREDIBLY brave to put this picture on here! But hey, I had given birth two days before and could hardly sit at all! I actually like looking at this picture to remind me that I've lost weight since then!!

Fall Colors and Halloween party
Saturday, before our ward Halloween party, we took a little drive down a road near the lake to see the pretty colors of the trees...

Then we went to the ward Halloween party. Chad was a hit Everyone loved his corduroy suit. The dress I got was lame (and too short), so I ended up just grabbing something out of the closet and taking the dress back to the store. I was going to wear the black wig and Chad was going to wear my blond one, but it looked better this way. We didn't stay too long...Cameron was wiped out. It was a pretty fun party.

I have to say...
I don't know how I'm going to deal with a whiny toddler. I can barely deal with a whiny 5+ month old! For future reference, I am documenting Cameron's whiny times with the camera. That way, I have proof of what he did to me and why I deserve lovely, expensive things when he is a doctor/lawyer/something that makes lots of money!

So here, Cameron is upset cause I wouldn't pick him up and hold him all day (which Chad and I discussed tonight...not sure if it's because he's getting older or that he was held a lot in VA a few months ago or both or neither--why do you think he's getting so clingy lately? He REALLY likes attention!)

Well, I picked him up and we played with the camera and looked in the mirror a bit.

And then he was happy.

Cameron LOVES it when Chad comes home. And so do I cause I get a break and Cameron is happy! We're trying his sitting-up skills . He's doing pretty well here.

But here, he's starting to fall and looks a little annoyed that Chad would let him.

Don't worry. Everything is alright now. Shew!
