Misc. pics (I'm avoiding working on my nursery lesson)

As far as solids go, Cameron has decided he likes sweet potatoes mixed with rice cereal the best. We've worked on bananas (the ones from the jar are pretty sour), green beans, applesauce, and squash. He was really crying for the solids last night, but I think more than anything, he loves chewing on the spoon. Poor kid. I know he's teething and just wants to chew on everything. If I give him my finger, sometimes he chomps on it! So I don't do that too much anymore.

Chad went to a Brewer's game on Thursday night with some guys from the ward and a guy from school. They had a lot of fun, but didn't get home until 12:45am!

Sailing

Our friends in the ward (and also our neighbors) took us sailing yesterday. They have a couple of friends that belong to a sailing club with the school. This was one of the first times Chad and I had been without Cameron--when he wasn't being watched by family. It was nice to get out!

See me in the bottom? Notice how NASTY our boat was?! Apparently, you can't reserve boats for weeks in advance, like the guys tried to do. So we had to take what we got. This is right before the guys started cleaning it off.

Chad was really excited that our boat had a pirate flag on it (especially since yesterday was "Speak Like a Pirate Day").

After cleaning the boat up (which took 45 minutes!), we didn't have a really long time to sail. But we still had a lot of fun and are grateful to the Ferrins and Lars and Raoul for taking us out!

Rolling over and Ginnie's birthday party

Cameron rolled over for the first time on Tuesday, which just happened to be my birthday! What a great gift although, he doesn't know how do roll from his tummy to his back yet so he gets really frustrated and whines until someone helps him turn back. Chad or I will turn him to his back, and within 20 seconds he's on his tummy again. Oh well. I'm trying to teach him how to turn back on his back, but it's taking some time.

We had a birthday party for me and two of my neighbors on Friday night. My bday is on the 30th, Kristina's is the 31st, and Rachel's is today (September 1st). Together, our ages make 75--I'm 25, Kristina is 23, and Rachel is 27. Pretty clever huh?

A fun time was had by all! It was good to see people in the ward again.

Cameron isn't so sure how he feels about his bumbo seat. He seemed to really like it at first, but got pretty tired of it after about 3 minutes. Oh well. We'll keep trying.
