This past week

I had a hard time this past week. Cameron wouldn't take naps for a few days, which meant I couldn't get a break or take a nap. I was pretty upset about it (my weekly meltdown, as I like to call them), so Chad gave me a blessing. I was encouraged to see the bigger picture and to know that Cameron would have bad days or even bad weeks. But that it was normal for a baby to be fussy, etc. I felt a lot better after the blessing (poor Chad has given me SO many since we've been married). Now the problem is that I can't seem to fall asleep! So, Cam sleeps better, but I don't. Niiiiice. Well, I see my OB for my 6-week postpartum next Tuesday, so we'll see what she says about that.

Anyway, here are some pictures from the last few days. We LOVE that Cam is starting to smile at us more.

I was able to catch a little smile from Cameron...

He's already learning to stick out his tongue...great.

Is this my kid?!? I can't believe how chubby he looks in this picture. I put a hat on him so his head wouldn't burn yesterday. This is the only one I had and it was a little big , so I had to turn it sideways to fit on him in the bjorn. I think he looks pretty cool.

VERY excited about those hanging birdy things

Chad got Cam a glove. Yes, I know. He's only 5 weeks old. But Chad's a proud dad. I think Cam likes it.

I'm surprised that Chad let you put anything other than a Braves hat on his head.

That child is so incredibly adorable. Are you not sleeping b/c you are worried/thinking/wondering about the future? That was my problem after we got Logan. I would sit there and awe that we were in charge of this little thing. Hopefully it gets better, if not, don't worry about getting a little medical pill help. Sometimes you just a need a few days of help to relax. Good luck!
