Pimpin, Coloring, and Eugster's Farm

This was Cameron's outfit for church a few Sundays ago.  I got the idea from the Banana Republic website.  A guy was wearing the most business-like attire and then threw shorts on.  Weird.  And I was looking at the men section of the BR site cause Chad wants to model his hair after one of the guys.  Yes.  I know....

I found Cameron with a pen one morning.

So, I figured it was time we started some coloring lessons.  "We color on paper, not our bodies!"

I know these scribbles look pretty good.  Thanks...I've never had any formal art lessons.

We went to Eugster's Farm today for Playgroup.  It's about 20 minutes away and has a petting zoo.  Cameron had a great time.

This is Theo, a new kid in the ward.  The goat LOVED his shirt.  I bet it was tasty.

I LOVE this truck.  And coincidentally, it's for sale!  What'd you say, Chad?!

Cameron- 15 months

Here is a video...I promised I would get one on here.  I've been working with this Mac, though, and I'm still not very good.  So, no special effects, titles, etc.  Maybe next time.

This movie is kind of long...it's more for the grandparents!

*Sorry for the butt shot, Chad!*

A few things...

A moment of silence please....

We sold our Infiniti this week.  Since we got the Xterra back in March, we knew that we would be selling our other car.  Chad wanted to wait until the summer to do it so he could make it look its best.  Well, he listed it on craigslist and it sold three days later.  What I didn't take a picture of was Chad and our neighbor, Ryan, fighting with the license plates to get them off.  I stayed upstairs out of the line of fire!

We're a little sad to see the car go.  It's been the only car we've had since we got married, almost three years ago!  But, on to bigger and better things!

We went to the sprinkler park again this week.  Cameron had a good time, but I think he enjoyed it more the first time we went.  It was a bit hotter that day.  We met up with a few other ladies from the ward.

And he loves his toothbrush.  Too bad he doesn't really brush his teeth.  I'm sure that will come in time.  He loves to imitate me brushing mine, though.  He also likes to make spitting sounds when I spit the toothpaste out.

Do you like his comb-over?

Today, we ventured out to the beach!  Yes, you read that correctly.  We went to a little beach that's on Lake Wingra, right behind the zoo.  The lake water smelled like a lake (that's what Chad said...I thought it smelled more like a sewer).  Cameron LOVES the water.

We only brought a few snacks cause we knew we wouldn't be there for that long.  Here is Cameron's first time ever with a Tootsie Roll.  Chad just about died since he knew Cameron would get so messy.  But that's what towels are for!

We're still here

What have we been up to?  Well, like I've said in a previous post, I'm not the greatest at blogging.  I'll post when there are pictures to post or news to report (remember the tree?  *Sniff*), but other than that, I don't always feel like there's a ton to talk about.

I've gone to the library quite a bit and checked out a bunch of books and movies.  The latest genre of books I like reading has to do with organizing and housework.  I told Chad the other day that if I'm going to be a "homemaker" (I used to hate that word), then I should study up on it.

Chad's continuing to study for his prelims (two tests at the end of August).  My parents are coming to visit for a week then and to take care of Cameron while Chad and I go here.  We're pretty excited to get away and we hear that Door County is really pretty.

Cameron just cut some molars--3 to be exact.  I had a feeling this was happening a few weeks ago when he started acting like the devil again.  That's usually how I can tell he's getting new teeth.  That, and his runny nose.  I felt in there today and there were 3!  Let's hope they all come in and get it over with!

Ok.  Here are some pictures from the last few weeks.

Cameron LOVES pasta!  Notice how nice it looks in his hair....

Model pose

Look at that belly!

Cameron was playing in the laundry basket.  Chad flung him around it and Cameron thought it was a blast!  And no, we didn't get new couches...just washed the slip covers.

This was another night when we made pesto

Hurray for pasta!

I got an email today from a lady in the ward.  She was taking her kids to a sprinkler park in town.  Too bad I've been here three years and didn't know it existed!  I didn't want to wait to go when she was going cause of Cameron's lunch and nap times, so we decided to go early.

He LOVED it!

Cameron was soaked, but seemed to really like it!  I think we'll take Chad along next time!

I'm working on uploading a video we made.  Since I'm still figuring out our Mac, it might take a while.  Stay tuned!

I'm in mourning today

And Cameron is pretty shocked, too...

Remember this tree?

Cameron was pretty sad cause they cut it down yesterday.

Now, I'm not a huge nature fan.  But I LOVED this tree.  I think it's because right after I had Cameron, I had some ppd.  Life was so different (I'd lost my freedom, this little guy totally depended on me, I wasn't getting sleep) and this tree was my constant.  It was always so soothing to lay on the couch and look up into the sky and see this tree.  It was always there--in winter covered in snow and with warmer weather, green leaves would start to grow (hey, I'm a poet!).

I actually cried a little when I watched them cut it down.  Now there's no shade for the sidewalk, nothing for me to look at from the couch, and my constant is gone.  Pretty depressing post, huh?  I'll be ok.  But I was pretty sad about it.

My new worst enemy....

We have a garden, ok?!
