So Cameron came down with something (or maybe it's just teething). But he had a fever of 102.2 and then 101.7 yesterday. It was a long, sad night for us. But he seems to be doing better today. He's like himself again. I credit the blessing Chad gave to Cameron's recovery from whatever was ailing him.
I was pretty worried and upset last night. Cameron just isn't a sick kid. And even if he has something wrong (he had a slight ear infection once), he's really happy and upbeat. So it was weird to see him so lethargic and sad and hot yesterday.
I'm so grateful for the power of the priesthood (and for Chad holding that power). I'm grateful that as long as we have faith, things will work out for the best--the way Heavenly Father would have them work out.
I realized that I haven't written much lately. I've only posted pictures or video. So here's a little update:
Cameron-well, read above. He's doing well, though. He's crawling like a champ and pulls himself up to the couch. He doesn't walk along the couch yet, but I'm sure that's right around the corner. Like I said above, he's such a happy kid. He eats and sleeps well and seems to get along with other kids pretty easily.
Ginnie-I'm keeping busy with Cameron, my calling (nursery worker), my part-time job (I do secretarial work for Kindermusik classes), and trying to find a hobby. I swear. One day it's making cards, the next it's photography, the next it's thinking about doing a masters, then it's learning Italian. Whatever will keep me busy, right?! Well, too bad I don't really finish these things that I start! Let's just say I dabble in lots of things!
Chad- Well, Chad's been really busy with school (teaching a class, taking three classes, studying for tests this summer, and figuring out his dissertation topic), his calling as Elders Quorum Pres., and with me and Cameron. Oh, and I think his fantasy sports' team(s) keep him pretty busy, too. I'm hoping that we can take a vacation during Spring Break next month...either to Chicago or to Wisconsin Dells.

So that's about all from the Shorters. Let us know how you're doing. We would love to keep in touch!
