Lots of randomness in one long blog post cause I'm too lazy to make separate ones

Do you think these kids are related?

Cameron was a zebra for Halloween.  Super easy costume to make (right up my alley!).  It was just white duct tape on a black hoodie and black sweatpants and craft foam.  Duct tape is the non-sewer's answer to sewing.

Cameron had a preschool Halloween party.  It was hard for me to take pictures cause I was wearing Charlotte in the Bjorn (she was really unhappy most of the time, too).  But we walked to Chad's building afterward, and I have never seen so many students smile as we walked by.  It was fun.

Cameron and I trick or treating at one of the doors

Our safari clan (hunter/tour guide-ish guy, tiger, leopard, zebra).  Didn't get any pics of Charlotte's face cause she was so tired the whole time.  Cameron has also had enough by this point.

Kind of blurry, but I thought you could see my costume a little better from far away-- maybe you wouldn't be so blinded looking at it at this angle?!

Cameron bowling with "shrunken heads"... aka, potatoes.  He was pretty determined.

Last Sunday, we took a little drive to the Arboretum for some fun with the different color leaves.

Having been born in Madison, Cameron is a natural tree-hugger.
(Really, we didn't pose him like this.)

Oh, and I made a pie.  My first pie.  That's why there's a picture of it.  And that's why it looks kind of funny.  But I got a whole bunch of apples at the Farmer's Market and decided to try making an apple pie.  I think it turned out pretty good.  Yum.

Fun pictures of him in Cam's costume and playing in the leaves. Charlotte looks so big. You're a good mom.

Very fun! Cute costumes - I love the easy costumes (we have used washable markers instead of duct tape). The pictures with the leaves are awesome. You are very talented!

Hooray for pie making ... maybe you can teach me when you're home for Christmas! The costumes are really really cute :> Thanks for all the pictures & Charlotte is getting SO big. Now's the big countdown to the holidays. Can't wait.

You're so cute - and talented! I LOVE the Shorter family Halloween picture...mostly probably because, despite Cam's sullen expression, he has chocolate smeared around his mouth. Love it. I'm totally stealing that picture & putting it on my blog.

Love you.

That costume is amazing. From the pictures you would never know it was duct tape. You are crafty!
I love the themed costumes...take advantage of it because pretty soon your kids will want to decide what they dress up as and they might not match!
