Getting lower

I'd just like to say how brave I have been throughout my pregnancy to expose my horrible-looking pictures to the world. I guess people need to see the real me for these past 9 months, but normally I wouldn't dare post pictures that I didn't like. Now, I'm doing it to show the progression of my pregnancy.

The purpose of this picture is to show how low the baby is at this point. I have 8 more days until I'm due. Still feel like he'll be early, but man I can't say for sure! Notice how low my pants are riding today and also the roll-on behind me (my hospital bag!).

This was the baby back in January. I wonder how much he's changed since then...

The baby is fine...the technician thought he weighed 7 lb 6 oz as of today. So, not sure what my doc was thinking, but it was cool to be able to see the baby again (although, it wasn't a 4D like Chad wanted).

Now, if we can just get him to show up....

Baby Update

I'm not really sure what this means, but my doc thinks the baby is on the small side (6 lbs). So I'm having an ultrasound on Monday, I think just to see if he's small or if I'm just hiding him well. My neighbor was really small when she was pregnant but had an 8+ pounder. So we'll see what happens.

He's dropped more, but I'm not dilating any. I'm trying to psyche myself out and say that I'm really due in three weeks instead of two. That way, I won't be disappointed if he's late, and I'll be really excited if he's early!

By the way, today's a lot better than yesterday. Sometimes I just need a good cry to make myself feel better---I guess it's just that release of hormones that I need.

Chad was a little disappointed we couldn't get a 4D ultrasound again so that we could really see what he looks like. But I'm not high risk, so they won't send me to the hospital to have it done.

I'll post more after the ultrasound.

New Hair

My work gave me a $50 gift certificate to this really posh salon here in town. I know...in Madison? But, it really is a cool place. I would think I was in New York or something if I didn't see some farmland out the window. Anyway, I thought I should take advantage of the cool gift and got my hair highlighted/lowlighted yesterday. When the hairdresser dried my hair, I was in shock! I didn't know amber was a reddish color (let's blame that on my pregnancy, ok?!)! So I was a little upset about it, but decided I needed to just chill and see how I could really make it me.

So, I did my hair this morning and am pretty pleased with the results. It's pretty cool with some funky chunks she added for fun. What'd you think?

Snow? In April?!

So we knew it was coming. They called for a winter storm warning all night last night and into this morning. And I noticed as I watched the news that there were a million schools closed today. I can't say I wasn't annoyed. Snow in April? What kind of place is this? But at least it was hardly covering the roads. I can handle that. Plus, it's supposed to be in the 60s next week! But this is what I got into when I came home today. Notice how our car is parked on the street and all the tracks I made trying to get into our driveway. I thought I was becoming a pro, but it is so wet and packed down that it was all I could do just to park it on the street.

What a crazy place we live in!

Last Pregnancy Pics

This is the second picture with this shirt on (on this blog)...you can tell how it's getting a bit small on me! And my hair and makeup look oh so fabulous. But hey, it's at the end of a long day! I have about 3 1/2 weeks left! And I lost a pound since my last doc's visit (only last Thursday), so I was pretty excited after my OB apt. today!




Chad took this as I was walking down the hall...I think it looks pretty artsy...
