Ear infection and interesting wardrobe choice...

Well, Cameron has an ear infection.  He had a bad cold last week and started pulling on his ear a few days ago.  He did pretty well in church today, but I was told he had a rough time in nursery.  As soon as we were getting out of the car to come into the house, he started pulling on his ear and crying.  He didn't stop for 30 minutes.  Wouldn't take Motrin, wouldn't drink juice, wouldn't eat anything.  I called the after-hours clinic from his doc's office and got him in to see someone.  Yup, he has a pretty bad ear infection.  He pretty much fell asleep on the way home and took a good 2-hour nap.  When he got up (we had to wake him up cause it was pretty late in the day), he was really dazed.  I tried to take a pic of him lying on the couch, but he got upset when he saw the camera... (guess he thought I was exploiting his misery or something)...

Later on, Cameron found his boots.  He put them on and wanted his mittens on, too.  I guess he thought that meant we would be going outside.  Well, weather.com says it's 12 right now, but feels like it's 1.  Would you let Cameron go outside like this?

He was really upset.  I finally got Chad to take him out for about 20 seconds.  I think he liked it cause when he got back inside and the door closed, the crying started again.

It's definitely been a rough week.  We've been in the house all week and I'm sure Cameron's sick of being sick (I know I am).  Hopefully the antibiotic will clear things up in the next couple of days so we can all get back to some normalcy!

I am still waiting for our normalcy - and we started antibiotics for Chris last Tuesday. It will come, though, eventually....

He looks so sad and tender with Chad! I hope he feels better soon!

Aren't ear infections so fun? Good luck with the recovery!

Come on! Any good mom would let her kid out in the freezing cold in just a diaper, mittens, and boots. Maybe I'm just saying that because I feel guilty for taking Gideon on a freezing cold walk yesterday, even though he was all bundled up. Aw, Cameron's so precious, thinking of that. I hope life gets better soon.

Poor baby! I'm sorry he's hurting. He's awfully cute though...the boots and the diaper are "poster worthy." I can just see that poster on your parents wall!!
