3 1/2 weeks old

This last week has been kind of weird. Cameron has become more of a fussy baby, although still not the colicky type from my nightmares. He's really a good, mellow kid. But his cranky periods are in the mornings, opposite of the typical times of crankiness for most babies (at least from what I've read). AND, this is the gassiest, poopiest (is that a word?) kid I've ever seen! I feel bad and want to try to avoid different foods, but I can't even think of what I've been eating that would cause such nasty poops and red, sad faces in Cam. Hmmm...we give him gas drops, but that doesn't seem to help.

Also, I thought that maybe he had thrush. I took him to the doc last Friday and he said that Cam looked like he could maybe have it (from the symptoms he displayed and the way I've been feeling when I breastfeed), so he gave us some cream and yummy medicine for Cameron. The pharmacist thought that Cam would hate the medicine (it smells like cough syrup or NyQuil), but he seems to enjoy the 4 times a day he gets it!

Aunt Katie is here this week to help me and visit with the booger. She loves him, especially when he cuddles up with her (almost like a puppy!). She's been a super help in hanging out with him, feeding him, and trying to get him to sleep. We love her being here!

My parents and Chad's parents will be here this weekend for Cam's blessing (we're sure to have lots of good pics from that visit).

One last thing to mention is how Cam has high-pitched moans when he sleeps. It lasted the longest and was the funniest today while Katie, Chad, and I were trying to eat lunch. I almost couldn't get my drink down cause I was laughing. I wish our video camera worked so you all could witness it. Hopefully we'll get it fixed soon.
